Application now available

The bursary application deadline date is Feb. 1, 2010. Once you apply to your local club, the selection process is as follows: Each club will review all application forms received and will select ONE to be endorsed and forwarded to the board of trustees. The board of trustees will be reviewing and selecting 28 applicants to receive a bursary of $1,000 each. The successful recipients and their sponsoring clubs will be notified by June 30, 2010.

Purpose / Background

In memory of the Association's founder, Hal Rogers, who passed away in September 1994 at the age of 95, Kin Canada has established the Kin Canada Bursaries, a program of the Hal Rogers Endowment Fund. Its purpose is to promote, encourage and sponsor educational programs and activities.

Throughout his life, Hal Rogers believed in the value of education. In his own words, "providing and promoting the finest and most effective education possible for our young people" was a noble endeavour.
