Application Form

The bursary application deadline date is February 1st each year. If you've applied to a local club, the selection process is as follows: Each club will review all application forms received and will select ONE to be endorsed and forwarded to the Board of Trustees. The Board will be reviewing and selecting a number of applicants to receive a bursary of $1,000 each. The successful recipients and their sponsoring clubs will be notified by June 30, 2010. 

The revised application form for next year (2011) for the 2011-12 school year will be available for download in the fall of 2010.

Eligibility

Applicants to the Kin Canada Bursaries must:

  • Be a Canadian Citizen or Landed Immigrant
  • Plan to be a full-time student in the next academic school year, at a recognized university, community college, technical institute or other post-secondary institution for advanced learning
  • Demonstrate high ideals and qualities of citizenship, and not have previously received a bursary from the Hal Rogers Endowment Fund
  • Complete and mail the standard, current application form to one only of a Kinsmen, Kinette, or Kin club nearest your permanent residence. Club mailing addresses can be found on this bursary website under 'How to Apply.'

The Application Process

Clubs will accept applications up until February 1st. Submit to your local club or the one that is nearest your permanent residence. Club mailing addresses

Clubs will select an application to endorse and forward to National Headquarters for consideration.

Bursary winners will be notified by June 30th. The number of bursaries awarded in any one year is in accordance with the Fund's balance and its governing laws.
